A senior Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) official has warned Arab countries to expel US forces from their territories or risk facing Iranian military strikes.
IRGC political deputy General, Yadollah Javani, issued the warning in a statement published by Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency.
"It is better to expel the Americans from your countries and take back the bases," Javani said.
He warned that Iran's military had demonstrated its willingness to retaliate against locations used as staging points for attacks on Iran.
Javani specifically named Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan, which host US military personnel and facilities.
His comments came amid heightened tensions between Iran and the United States following a fresh exchange of strikes in the region.
Iran has launched retaliatory attacks against US-linked military positions in several Gulf countries and Jordan, while Washington has continued military operations against Iranian targets.
