Two children and a local shoemaker remain in the hands of terrorists, even after a woman and her four-month-old baby were successfully rescued from kidnappers in Kogi State.
According to SaharaReporters, Mrs. Idowu Kemi Titilayo and her infant were freed in the early hours of Thursday following a joint operation involving local security forces in Egbe and troops of the Nigerian Army.
The abduction occurred during a bandit attack on Ijalu Compound in Egbe, located in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.
However, photographs taken after the rescue operation confirmed that two of Mrs. Idowu’s children—a boy and a girl—along with a man known simply as JB, a well-known shoemaker in Egbe, are still being held by the abductors.
Sources close to the incident told SaharaReporters that security operatives have intensified efforts to secure the release of the remaining victims.
