The Bauchi State governorship candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Alhaji Usman Adamu Dan China, has officially launched his campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections, promising to prioritise youth empowerment, job creation, economic development and infrastructure if elected.
The campaign launch attracted party leaders, stakeholders and supporters from Bauchi State and beyond, as the AAC commenced its grassroots mobilisation for the governorship and presidential elections.
Addressing supporters at the event, Dan China said his decision to contest was motivated by the need to provide what he described as effective leadership and create opportunities for residents of the state.
He said his administration would focus on improving the welfare of ordinary citizens while creating an environment where young people could find jobs, develop businesses and participate meaningfully in the state's economy.
Dan China also identified infrastructure and economic development as key areas of his proposed agenda, promising programmes aimed at improving living conditions across Bauchi.
According to him, young people would be at the centre of his administration's development plans, with emphasis on creating economic opportunities and empowering them to become active participants in the state's growth.
He urged residents to support the AAC in the 2027 elections, describing the party as an alternative political platform focused on the interests and welfare of the people.
The event also featured messages from AAC leaders and supporters, who called for stronger grassroots mobilisation and greater participation of young people in politics.
Supporters further pledged to mobilise votes for the party's presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, across Bauchi State and other parts of Northern Nigeria ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The launch comes amid growing political activities in Bauchi State as parties begin preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The AAC is expected to expand its grassroots campaign across Bauchi's 20 local government areas, taking its message to communities and voters ahead of the governorship election.
With the campaign formally launched, Dan China is expected to continue engaging voters and presenting his policy proposals while strengthening the party's structures across the state.
